ILE-IFE, OSUN STATE — Obafemi Awolowo University has dismissed a fake resumption notice circulating online, urging students and members of the public to ignore the misleading information.

The university management clarified that academic activities remain suspended as students are still on the officially approved mid-semester break.

According to the institution, the false notice falsely claimed an early resumption date and began spreading across social media platforms, causing confusion among students.

The university described the information as unauthorised and did not originate from any official communication channel of the institution.

University officials reassured parents and guardians that there is no change to the academic calendar and that the mid-semester break remains in effect.
