Nollywood stars Uzor Arukwe and Linda Ejiofor have emerged winners of the Best Lead Actor and Best Lead Actress categories at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
The awards ceremony, which celebrates excellence in African film and television, recognised both actors for their standout performances over the past year.
Arukwe clinched the Best Lead Actor award for his role in Colours of Fire, beating other notable nominees including Mike Ezuruonye, Lateef Adedimeji, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Wale Ojo, and Femi Branch.
In the Best Lead Actress category, Ejiofor was honoured for her performance in The Serpent’s Gift, emerging ahead of strong contenders such as Bimbo Akintola, Sola Sobowale, Scarlet Gomez, and Gloria Anozie-Young.
The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards remains one of the most prestigious platforms recognising talent and creativity within Africa’s entertainment industry.
