A 30-year-old All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Mahmud Sadis Buba, has withdrawn from the race.

Buba announced his decision in a statement posted on his verified Facebook page, where he explained that the move followed consultations with his family, political associates, and party stakeholders.

According to him, the decision was influenced by ongoing reconciliation efforts within the APC aimed at strengthening unity ahead of the general election.

He said his withdrawal, which takes effect immediately, was not an easy one but became necessary in the interest of party cohesion.

Buba also expressed appreciation to the leadership of the APC in Kaduna State, including Governor Uba Sani, for the opportunity to participate in the nomination process.

He urged his supporters to remain calm and to fully back whoever eventually emerges as the party’s candidate, stressing that his decision should be seen as a sacrifice for unity rather than a setback.
