Six people have died in a road accident involving a military vehicle and a commercial Hummer bus on the Girei–Song Highway in Adamawa State.
The crash occurred on Wednesday at about 1:50pm, resulting in a fire that gutted the commercial bus and killed all the passengers on board.
Four members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), a soldier and other person died in the incident.
The accident reportedly involved a military gun truck travelling from Gombi to Yola and a Hummer bus conveying five passengers from Yola to Mubi.
The collision caused the bus to overturn before bursting into flames.

He said: “Tragically, all five passengers aboard the Hummer bus were burnt to death after the vehicle caught fire following the collision.
“Preliminary identification shows that four of the deceased were members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) posted to Adamawa State.”
He named two of the victims as Suleiman Juliet and Usman Shuaibu, both from Kaduna State, while efforts were ongoing to identify the remaining victims.
