BENIN CITY, NIGERIA — The Edo State High Court has sentenced five individuals to death by hanging for their roles in the abduction and murder of lawyer Iyoha Osobase, bringing closure to a high-profile criminal case that has drawn significant public attention.
The judgment was delivered after the court found the defendants guilty of involvement in the kidnapping and killing of the legal practitioner, an offence the court described as a grave violation of the law and an attack on the justice system.
