The 11th season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) premieres on Sunday, ushering in another edition of one of Africa’s biggest reality television shows.
Ahead of the launch, MultiChoice Nigeria announced that this year’s winner will receive a grand prize worth ₦160 million—the highest in the show’s history since its debut in 2006.

The opening show will air from 7:00 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family, while viewers can follow the housemates around the clock on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49.
The reality show will also be available for live streaming on the DStv Stream and GOtv Stream platforms.
Record prize package
The winner of Season 11 will take home ₦100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV, bringing the total prize value to ₦160 million.
Speaking ahead of the premiere, MultiChoice West Africa’s Executive Head of Content and Channels, Atinuke Babatunde, said the new season promises more excitement, bigger surprises and an engaging lineup of contestants.
“Big Brother Naija has consistently redefined entertainment in Africa by bringing together authentic storytelling, compelling personalities and moments that resonate with millions of viewers.
“Season 11 builds on that legacy with even bigger stakes, fresh twists and an exciting mix of housemates that will keep audiences engaged from premiere night through to the finale,” she said.
Preparations for the new season began with physical auditions held between May 22 and 24 in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu, following an invitation-only shortlist.
Participation was free and open to Nigerians aged 21 years and above who possessed valid means of identification.
Media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returns as host for another season, where viewers can expect intense competition, demanding tasks, strategic gameplay and the usual mix of alliances, rivalries and dramatic moments inside the Big Brother house.
Season 11 follows the conclusion of BBNaija Season 10, which ended on October 5, 2025. Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, emerged winner after defeating 28 other housemates to claim a prize package worth ₦150 million, including ₦80 million in cash and an SUV.
As in previous editions, eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers will be able to vote for their favourite housemates through the MyDStv and MyGOtv self-service apps, with additional voting benefits available to customers who upgrade their subscription packages.
