IBADAN, Nigeria — A member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, Adedeji Olajide, has pledged N50 million to support the upcoming Youth Legislative Summit, reaffirming his commitment to youth development, leadership training, and educational advancement in Oyo State.
Olajide made the announcement during preparations for the summit, describing the initiative as an important platform for nurturing future leaders and promoting civic participation among students. He said the financial support would help ensure the successful organisation of the event while providing participants with opportunities to gain practical knowledge of Nigeria’s legislative process.
The lawmaker explained that empowering young people through education and leadership development remains one of the most effective ways to build a stronger and more prosperous society. According to him, the summit will expose students to democratic values, policymaking, and governance while encouraging them to become active contributors to national development.
Beyond the financial donation, Olajide pledged to personally mentor students participating in the programme.
