Chairman of Downstream Petroleum at the Senate, Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife has officially joined the All Progressives Congress [APC].

The state and party conspiracy against the Lady with Midas Touch to thwart her going back to senate to hold onto her position which has been elusive to South East has gone overboard.

There was a calculated political chess game that goes beyond the surface plotted by a certain Senator from Anambra and the Government on seat.

All these in an effort to put a keg in her wheel of progress and fear of Iyom coming out in 2017 for governorship election.

They are scared that if she comes from Senate toward that aspiration , it will be from point of strength and certainly a mission guaranteed.

Senator Ekwunife was the erstwhile Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial zone before she was sacked by the Appeal Court sitting in Enugu.

Elombah.com reported that the sacked Senator is highly irritated with the proposed primary elections organised by her party, the PDP.

In a telephone chat with our correspondent, she said that “she was not happy with how they are getting her enmeshed in intrigues.”

Since her dismissal, her party has been thrown into unsteady rockings over who will emerge as the party flag bearer in the upcoming senatorial election.

However, Iyom Ekwunife has since warned against such intrigues and expressed her readiness to dump the party should such intrigues persist.

Meanwhile, since Ekwunife indicated her interest to leave the web of conspiracy in the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] targeted against her, the party is in deep crisis as they cannot find a formidable and marketable candidate to fly the party flag.
