Curtis Jones has officially brought his long association with Liverpool to an end after completing a move to Inter Milan, beginning a new chapter of his career in Serie A.
The 25-year-old midfielder has signed a contract with the Italian giants until June 2031, bringing an end to a 16-year journey with his boyhood club. Inter are reportedly paying around €35 million for the England international, including potential performance related additions.
Jones becomes the third English player to join Inter Milan this summer, following the arrivals of fellow England internationals John Stones and Djed Spence. The unusual influx of English talent at the San Siro adds another interesting dimension to Inter’s preparations for the new season.
For Jones, however, the transfer represents much more than another move between major European clubs. It marks the end of a relationship with Liverpool that began when he joined the club’s academy at the age of nine.
