NAF launches rescue operation after helicopter crashes in Ondo

 The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed that one of its aircraft was involved in an accident in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State.

The NAF said the ATR-42 aircraft was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when the accident occurred on Monday.

A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said an immediate search and rescue operation had been activated.

The operation is being conducted in coordination with relevant authorities and emergency response agencies.

“The NAF is committed to ensuring the success of the ongoing search and rescue efforts,” Ejodame said.

The Air Force said further details would be communicated as the operation progresses.
