Popular Nigerian hair entrepreneur Bo Hair has shared further details of an alleged robbery at her Lagos apartment, accusing her former nanny, Lilian Okoro, of helping an intruder gain access to the property.
Bo Hair released CCTV footage which she said showed the nanny allegedly assisting the robber during the incident. She claimed the footage also showed the intruder being directed to areas where cash, jewellery and other valuables were kept.
According to Bo Hair, she initially defended her nanny because she did not believe she could have been involved in the robbery. However, she said her position changed after she and her husband reviewed the surveillance footage.
Bo Hair has now alleged that the nanny’s boyfriend may also have been connected to the incident.
“My nanny met her boyfriend on FB. The reason why the Nigeria Police arrested the nanny and her boyfriend is that, on the night of the robbery, the number that called her before the thief gained entrance was her boyfriend’s, despite the nanny deleting the entire call logs,” she said.
She further alleged that the same man was actively pushing for the nanny’s release after the arrests.
“It was the same boyfriend who was backing the girl and pushing further for the nanny’s release,” Bo Hair added.
The entrepreneur previously said the robbery left her with significant financial losses, including about $7,000 in cash, nearly ₦2 million meant for her business and several valuable items, including a Van Cleef necklace and two Rolex watches.
The CCTV footage shared online appears to show an individual entering the apartment and moving around the property during the reported robbery. Bo Hair has presented the footage as evidence supporting her allegations against her former domestic worker.
The claims have generated widespread reactions online, particularly over the question of trust between homeowners and domestic staff.
However, the allegations against Okoro have not been established as fact. Reports indicate that she denied involvement and shared her own videos addressing the accusations. She was also reportedly arrested alongside her boyfriend, although the circumstances and current status of any investigation or charges were not independently established in the information available.
Bo Hair’s latest account has therefore added another layer to the Lagos robbery controversy, with the CCTV footage, alleged phone records and competing accounts now at the centre of public discussion.
