Founder of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has warned Nigerian youths against snatching ballot boxes during the 2027 general elections.
In a video posted on his official X account on Wednesday, the cleric warned that any youth who attempts to snatch a ballot box during the election would die.
Chinyere also challenged politicians to bring their children home and send them to participate in ballot box snatching instead of using Nigerian youths as political thugs.
According to him, many politicians keep their children abroad while using young Nigerians for political activities that could put their lives at risk.
“To all Nigerian youths, in the 2027 election, if you go near any ballot box just to snatch it, you will die,” he said.
The cleric said Nigerians were tired of the violence associated with previous elections and urged youths to reject the practice.
“The 2027 general elections will no longer be like the previous ones because Nigerians are tired. The era of ballot box snatching is over,” he said.
Chinyere questioned why Nigerian youths would continue to allow politicians to use them for electoral violence when the politicians’ children are kept away from such activities.
“How long will Nigerians continue to fool themselves and allow politicians to fool them? They have children, and their children are abroad. They should bring their children to snatch ballot boxes for them,” he added.
