Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has declared a state of emergency in the power sector.

The governor made this announcement during the State Executive Council Ministerial Briefing and End-of-Year Review held in Uyo on Wednesday.

The governor emphasized the crucial role of electricity in achieving the goals of his ARISE Agenda.

To address this critical issue, the governor announced plans for a Power Summit scheduled for 2025.
