On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world will observe the annual Memorial of Jesus Christ’s death.

The annual Memorial of Jesus Christ’s death is a solemn observance that holds significant spiritual importance, commemorating the profound sacrifice he made for humanity.

This event involves gathering with fellow believers to reflect on his final hours and renew one’s faith and commitment to his teachings through prayer, scripture readings, and the sharing of communal bread and wine, symbolizing his body and blood.

This event is the most sacred occasion on their religious calendar.

It commemorates the death of Jesus Christ, which they believe opened the way for everlasting life.

The observance is based on Jesus’ words recorded at Luke 22:19.

He said to his disciples: “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.”

Jehovah’s Witnesses take this command seriously and have kept this tradition yearly across more than 240 lands.

The event involves a Bible-based talk explaining the significance of Jesus’ death and what it means for all people today.

In Awka, Anambra State, the memorial will be held at 75 Obiefuna Street, Araba, just before the Aroma Flyover.

Those living far from this location can use an online tool to find the nearest Kingdom Hall.

The meeting locator is available at: https://apps.jw.org/E_SRCHMTGMAPS.

For individuals unable to attend in person, the program will also be streamed via Zoom.

The virtual meeting details are as follows:

Zoom ID: 230 330 4300

The event will begin promptly at 6:00 PM.

Jehovah’s Witnesses extend this invitation to everyone, regardless of religious background.

Attendance is free, and no collections will be taken.

They believe this observance provides hope, comfort, and insight into God’s purpose for humanity.

The memorial is held once a year, on the date corresponding to Nisan 14 on the Bible’s calendar.

Each year, millions worldwide attend this solemn and respectful gathering.

Jehovah’s Witnesses warmly welcome all who wish to learn more about Jesus’ sacrifice and what it means for the future.
