The National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) in Nigeria has commenced its 2025 recruitment process through its official portal, www.nalda.gov.ng.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that interested applicants across Nigeria are encouraged to explore various openings available in the agency as part of efforts to boost agricultural capacity nationwide.

NALDA, operating under the Presidency, aims to improve food security and economic diversification through structured rural development and land utilization strategies.

The newly announced vacancies are tied to the Institute of Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship, with positions spread across several Nigerian states.

According to NALDA, applications are currently being accepted for job roles in Kwara, Katsina, Cross River, Borno, Ogun, and Abia States.

These vacancies fall under the NALDA Institute of Agribusiness, a flagship initiative aimed at transforming agriculture into a viable career path for Nigerian youths.

The 2025 recruitment drive emphasizes inclusivity, youth participation, and nationwide agricultural empowerment, particularly targeting young graduates and skilled professionals.

Applicants are advised to visit the official portal and fill out the application form online at www.nalda.gov.ng/jobs.

According to NALDA’s guidelines, the recruitment process is entirely free of charge, and no payment should be made during registration.

Candidates are urged to use valid and accessible phone numbers and email addresses during the application.

To be considered eligible, applicants must meet specific requirements, including being under 35 years old.

They must also possess a minimum of five credit passes in SSCE, WAEC, or NECO, including English and Mathematics.

In addition, a Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or its equivalent is a prerequisite for most roles.

Applicants should also demonstrate a good command of computer applications and effective communication skills.

Teamwork, discipline, and physical and mental fitness are also key attributes required by the agency.

The job opportunities are part of NALDA’s broader mandate to harness Nigeria’s agricultural potential through sustainable land use and modern farming techniques.

NALDA advises prospective applicants to avoid submitting false information during the registration process.

The management reiterates that any information provided should be accurate and verifiable to avoid automatic disqualification.

NALDA has emphasized that all interested candidates must apply before the stated deadline, which will be communicated via the official website.

The application process involves visiting the job portal, selecting the desired role, completing the online form, and awaiting feedback.

Following the completion of the recruitment exercise, NALDA will publish a list of shortlisted candidates on the portal.

Applicants are encouraged to check the website regularly for updates and announcements related to their application status.

NALDA was originally established in 1992 but ceased operation in 2000 due to policy shifts and funding challenges.

It was later revived under the current administration as a key component of Nigeria’s agricultural revitalization strategy.

Under the leadership of Executive Secretary and CEO Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo, NALDA has seen a resurgence in strategic initiatives.

The organization has launched several projects focusing on youth and women empowerment, sustainable land development, and integrated farming.

One of NALDA’s prominent programs is the National Young Farmers Scheme, which aims to mobilize young Nigerians into agriculture.

This scheme includes training, capacity building, and startup support for young farmers across all six geopolitical zones.

Through this initiative, NALDA hopes to combat youth unemployment and revitalize interest in farming as a sustainable career.

To further strengthen agricultural education, NALDA recently launched its Institute of Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship.

The institute, according to the agency, is designed to provide hands-on training and certifications in various agricultural disciplines.

Courses are scheduled to commence in September 2025 and are open to qualified Nigerians interested in agribusiness careers.

These institutes will also serve as innovation hubs for new farming technologies, agritech, and cooperative business models.

In a statement, NALDA explained that the aging farmer population in Nigeria is a key concern being addressed by these institutes.

By attracting younger Nigerians into farming through education and practical engagement, the agency seeks to secure the future of food production.

Each state-based institute will serve as a recruitment hub and training center, offering specialized programs tailored to regional agricultural strengths.

Applicants applying to the Kwara institute may specialize in crop value chains, while Katsina may focus on dryland farming techniques.

Similarly, the Cross River branch will likely offer programs in plantation crops and agroforestry.

Borno and Ogun locations may prioritize livestock development and aquaculture, while Abia will host training in organic farming and cassava processing.

These region-specific programs are expected to align with Nigeria’s agricultural zones and boost localized food production.

NALDA is also working on establishing Integrated Farm Estates in rural communities to foster agricultural clusters and job creation.

These farm estates serve as comprehensive agricultural settlements with housing, storage, processing, and irrigation facilities.

They are envisioned as incubators for cooperative farming, processing businesses, and agro-export ventures.

The initiative also supports women-led enterprises and small holder farmer cooperatives with access to land, inputs, and markets.

The agency’s mission is to reposition agriculture as the backbone of Nigeria’s economic transformation strategy.

With the 2025 recruitment ongoing, NALDA encourages eligible citizens to take advantage of this national opportunity.

Applicants are reminded that NALDA does not operate through any agent or third party, and all applications should be submitted through the official portal only.

They are also urged to follow the application instructions carefully to avoid being disqualified on technical grounds.

For real-time updates and further guidance, applicants may visit the official NALDA site or follow verified social media handles.

All selected candidates will undergo a screening process before the final list of successful applicants is released.

In summary, NALDA’s recruitment campaign is not just a job opportunity, but a pathway to national agricultural transformation.

By prioritizing youth empowerment, technological training, and regional specialization, the authority is setting a new direction for Nigerian agriculture.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) will continue to monitor developments and provide timely updates for the benefit of prospective applicants nationwide.
