In a recent church service, Bishop David Oyedepo made a strong declaration of his spiritual commitment.

He is the presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports.

In a video on Facebook, he told his congregation, “I don’t want to come to Heaven without building 1,000 churches.”

This statement highlights his deep dedication to expanding his ministry’s reach across Nigeria and globally.

Oyedepo is widely recognized for his evangelical zeal and his focus on infrastructure development.

He emphasized that his mission is about obedience to God, not personal ambition.

“This mandate is not ambition; it is obedience,” he said passionately during the service.

He added, “Every church built is a testimony to the glory of God.”

According to Oyedepo, the rapid expansion of churches reflects a divine assignment to grow God’s kingdom.

“When the Lord speaks, I move. I don’t negotiate, I obey. That’s why we see results,” he declared.

The bishop is also the founder of Covenant University and Landmark University in Nigeria.

He urged believers to focus on kingdom-driven goals rather than fame or numbers.

“It is not about numbers or fame, it is about souls and obedience,” Oyedepo explained.

He stressed that building churches means creating altars where destinies are transformed, not just erecting buildings.

Many of the new churches are being built in rural communities across Africa, previously unreached by the gospel.

“We are not looking for applause. We are answering a call,” he said firmly.

He added, “The harvest is plenty, and the labourers must rise.”

His statement has sparked discussions among followers and critics alike.

Supporters praise his dedication to evangelism and church growth.

Critics question whether resources should focus more on socio-economic challenges facing Nigeria.

Despite differing views, Bishop Oyedepo remains unwavering in his vision and mission.

He repeated, “I don’t want to come to Heaven without building 1,000 churches to Your name.”

He affirmed his commitment to this goal until his last breath.

Bishop Oyedepo’s vision continues to inspire many and provoke important conversations about faith and priorities.

His leadership highlights the power of faith-driven action in Nigeria and beyond.
