Tempted by billions: Apostle Suleman’s bold stand against a financial trap

Apostle Johnson Suleman recently shared a striking encounter during a church service that emphasized integrity and spiritual discernment.

He narrated how a man, claiming to be blessed by his ministry, called to offer a generous financial gift, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathers.

The caller insisted on sending the donation and persistently requested the Apostle’s personal account number.

Despite the offer sounding sincere, Suleman maintained his long-standing policy of not sending account details to anyone.

“I don’t send my account to anybody. If you want it, it’s online,” the Apostle explained to the congregation.

He added, “Even if a pastor messages me for it, I still won’t respond. That’s my standard.”

The man continued reaching out, calling and messaging Suleman 26 times in total, urging him to accept the gift.

He even hinted the amount had “nine zeros,” subtly referring to a donation worth billions of naira.

Suleman, however, stood firm and refused to provide his account details, no matter how tempting the offer seemed.

Just two days later, Suleman received a call from someone affiliated with a financial crimes agency.

The official warned that if the money had entered his account, Suleman could have faced serious legal trouble.

Investigators had already flagged the transaction and matched the timeline with the donor’s calls and messages.

“They told me, ‘You would have passed through a serious situation if that money entered,’” Suleman recounted.

He stressed that had he given in to greed, he might have been implicated in money laundering allegations.

Using the experience as a lesson, he warned Christians against compromising their values for financial gain.

“If you have a price, anybody can buy you,” he said, urging believers to be incorruptible.

He reminded the congregation that not every attractive opportunity is a divine one.

“Not all good ideas are God’s ideas,” Suleman stated firmly.

“Let some things go, they are just passing by,” he concluded, drawing applause from the church.

His story now serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of integrity and resisting temptation, even under pressure.
