Ex-Flying Eagles player turns taxi driver

Mr. Chinedu Kalu, who claims he once played for the country’s U-20 national football team, the Flying Eagles, has revealed that he now earns a living as a taxi driver.

In a video making the rounds on TikTok, Kalu was seen driving passengers while recounting his past as a professional footballer.

He said he played as a midfielder under former Flying Eagles coach Samson Siasia and represented clubs including Delta Football Club in Enugu.

“I’m once a footballer. I played for the Flying Eagles. I played under Samson Siasia. I played for the Delta Football Club in Enugu. My name is Chinedu Kalu,” he said during the ride.

Moreover, despite his current struggles, Kalu maintained a positive outlook, stating: “I believe that the downfall of a man is not the end of his life.”

The video quickly went viral and stirred reactions across social media, with some users showing support while others questioned the credibility of his story.
