The Federal Government has launched an investigation into the recent altercation between Air Peace and Senator Adams Oshiomhole.

According to Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, announced the probe on Friday, following a reported incident at Lagos airport on Wednesday.

The complex and exciting field of aviation encompasses the design, development, production, and operation of aircraft, from commercial airlines and private jets to helicopters and military planes, as well as the intricate systems and technology that enable humans to soar through the skies.

Keyamo disclosed that he has personally communicated with both parties involved to gain a balanced understanding of the situation.

In a post on his official X handle, the minister stressed the importance of objectivity and due process.

He instructed aviation agencies not to jump to conclusions but to uphold the legal principle of hearing all sides before making any judgment.

Keyamo urged both the airline and the senator to stop issuing public accusations and counter-accusations.

He directed relevant aviation authorities to collect all necessary evidence and submit their findings to his office.

The minister stated that the investigation’s outcome would help shape how similar incidents are handled in the future.

The details of the dispute between Senator Oshiomhole and the Air Peace airline remain unclear as of the time of filing this report.

However, the minister’s prompt intervention underscores the seriousness with which the government is treating the matter.

The aviation sector, often under scrutiny for service delivery and operational discipline, is again in the spotlight.

Stakeholders are hopeful that the investigation will be impartial and lead to improved conduct across the sector.
