President Trump has informed senior aides that he will decide on whether to authorize strikes against Iran within the next two weeks.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made the announcement on Wednesday, signaling rising impatience in Washington over Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that this development comes as diplomatic efforts continue in Europe to de-escalate tensions.

Foreign ministers from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom are scheduled to meet Iranian envoys in Geneva on Friday.

Their aim is to persuade Iran to reduce regional tensions and to negotiate limits on its nuclear program.

Western officials hope these talks will provide Iran with a face-saving way out and help avoid military conflict.

Meanwhile, the exchange of fire between Israel and Iran has entered its seventh consecutive day.

An Iranian missile struck an Israeli hospital, causing major damage but no civilian casualties, according to Israeli officials.

In retaliation, the Israel Defense Forces targeted approximately 100 sites across Iran overnight.

These included the heavy-water reactor near Arak and a facility at Natanz connected to uranium enrichment.

Trump has indicated he is waiting to see whether current pressure—both diplomatic and military—will lead Iran to change course.

“I may do it, I may not do it,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday.

He added that the coming week “is going to be very big, maybe less than a week” for Iran’s next moves.

The U.S. has recently increased its military presence in the Middle East.

A third Navy destroyer has joined the eastern Mediterranean fleet, and a second carrier strike group is en route to the Arabian Sea.

Pentagon officials describe these deployments as defensive, though analysts say they also serve to pressure Tehran into concessions.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed that the country will “never surrender.”

He warned that a U.S. strike would bring “irreparable consequences” for American interests in the region.

Key developments

Israeli response: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned Iran’s hospital strike, calling it the act of “terrorist tyrants.”

He pledged to continue dismantling Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure “step by step.”

IAEA statement: The United Nations’ nuclear watchdog confirmed that there was no radioactive leak at the Khondab reactor following the Israeli airstrike.

U.S. evacuations: The U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv is coordinating evacuation flights for American citizens, according to Ambassador Mike Huckabee.

Casualty figures: The Wall Street Journal reports that human rights monitors have recorded 639 deaths in Iran and 24 in Israel since the clashes began.
