Eight Communities in Ngor Okpala LGA accuse Imo Govt of Land Grabbing

Residents of eight communities in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State have accused the state government of forcefully taking over 30,000 hectares of their land.

The affected communities are part of the Mbaishi Autonomous Communities and claim that the government’s actions are unjust and unlawful.

According to reports, the Imo State Government allegedly deployed military personnel to the area to occupy and take control of the land.

The communities claim that the military personnel have been preventing them from accessing their farmlands, destroying economic trees and crops, and intimidating residents.
