Air France has announced the suspension of all its scheduled flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, until July 14, 2025, due to the rapidly deteriorating security situation in the Middle East.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that the French national carrier made the decision following a comprehensive assessment of the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel.
The airline, in a statement sent to CNN on Monday, explained that passenger safety remains its highest priority amid the geopolitical unrest.
The move follows a wave of missile exchanges between Iran and Israel, which intensified after the United States reportedly carried out coordinated airstrikes on key Iranian nuclear sites located in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow.
In retaliation, Iran launched ballistic missile attacks targeting several Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Beersheba.
These developments have triggered widespread international concern and led many airlines to suspend or reroute flights in the region.
Air France stated that all flights from Paris to Tel Aviv are suspended until mid-July and confirmed that it is closely monitoring the situation in real time.
The airline assured passengers that those affected would be given the option to reschedule their flights or receive a full reimbursement.
Additionally, the airline canceled Monday’s flights from Paris to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, citing similar safety concerns.
These decisions are part of broader industry-wide precautions taken by global carriers to avoid airspace threatened by military action or potential missile activity.
Air France also reiterated its commitment to ongoing monitoring of the evolving geopolitical conditions through coordination with aviation safety regulators.
The company emphasized that flight safety is being evaluated continuously for all routes in and around conflict zones.
With tensions in the region at a boiling point, the aviation industry is bracing for more disruptions unless diplomatic efforts succeed in de-escalating the crisis.
