US embassy suffer earthquake

The United States Mission in Nigeria has warned its employees and citizens to avoid “non-official” visits to Nigerian military bases and government facilities.

Though, the mission did not cite any specific threat, but this comes amid growing global security concerns and escalating geopolitical tensions in multiple regions.

“The U.S. Embassy is closely monitoring the situation and recommends that American citizens avoid non-essential visits to government buildings and military sites in Abuja until further notice,” the Mission said in a statement.

American citizens are advised to steer clear of government buildings and military sites in Abuja unless absolutely necessary.

Citizens are urged to remain alert in public places, especially in areas frequented by Westerners, expatriates, and government officials.

The U.S. Mission also reminded its citizens of existing travel protocols and encouraged registration with the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to ensure they receive the latest security updates and emergency support.
