Angry Nigerians Unite, Set APC Broom Symbol Ablaze 🔥
DDM News

A sweeping political movement is gaining traction across Nigeria as disillusioned citizens mobilize under a united front to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), citing a legacy of hardship, insecurity, and economic mismanagement.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that this groundswell of public anger, which first emerged across parts of Northern Nigeria, is spreading rapidly nationwide.
Prominent political figures and concerned citizens alike have taken to social media to express their frustration and rally support for an alternative political direction.
One of the loudest voices in this growing coalition is Hon. Ogbobe Chidera Stanley, who recently shared a passionate statement on social media calling for a united front to “retire” the APC’s influence over Nigerian politics.
His remarks highlight what many Nigerians see as years of broken promises and deteriorating living standards.
According to Hon. Stanley, the symbol of the broom, once held up as a representation of hope and transformation during the APC’s rise to power, is now being openly destroyed by angry Nigerians.
These symbolic acts, he says, reflect a broader and more serious rejection of what he describes as the APC’s “regime of deception and incompetence.”
Formed in 2013 through the merger of Nigeria’s three major opposition parties at the time, the APC rose to national prominence by capitalizing on widespread dissatisfaction with the then-ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In 2015, Muhammadu Buhari was elected president under the APC platform with promises of change, economic revitalization, and stronger anti-corruption measures.
However, after nearly a decade of APC leadership, critics argue that the party has failed to deliver on its core promises. Inflation has continued to rise, unemployment remains high, and the security situation has worsened in many parts of the country.
Insurgency, banditry, and kidnappings have plagued several regions, especially in the North, where citizens are now openly voicing their frustration.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is positioning itself as a credible alternative in this time of political dissatisfaction.
According to Hon. Stanley, the ADC-led coalition is not just another political campaign but rather a national movement fueled by “moral urgency.”
The coalition draws support from Nigerians across regions, religions, and ethnicities who feel betrayed by the current leadership.
He emphasized that the coalition is not about personal ambition or power struggles but about reclaiming the country from “a cabal intoxicated with power and emboldened by impunity.”
He pointed to the crumbling education system, rampant poverty, and the erosion of hope among the youth as evidence that urgent change is needed.
“The future of our youth has been mortgaged,” he said, calling on all citizens to reject what he described as a system of organized criminality disguised as governance.
“We hear you, we stand with you, and we remain resolute in this collective struggle for a better nation.”
Stanley praised Nigerians who are abandoning APC symbols and choosing unity over division.
He said the struggle for a better country requires collective effort and resolve, especially from the youth who bear the brunt of the nation’s current challenges.
The statement concludes with a call to action: to replace the APC’s legacy with a new vision for Nigeria, one built on competence, justice, and accountability.
As political tensions rise ahead of the next election cycle, many will be watching to see whether this coalition will translate social media activism into real political momentum at the ballot box.
As the 2027 general elections approach, observers note that political dissatisfaction could reshape the country’s political landscape.
Whether the ADC can effectively galvanize national support and provide a viable political alternative remains to be seen.
However, what is clear is that Nigerians across the country are no longer willing to suffer in silence.
