Israeli troops kill dozens of starving Gazans seeking aid
DDM News

More than thirty people have been confirmed dead after Israeli forces opened fire on civilians seeking food in Gaza.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the shooting occurred during a food aid distribution, as reported by the Palestinian health ministry and multiple eyewitnesses.
According to health officials, at least 32 lifeless bodies were transported to the Nasser Medical Complex, alongside dozens of wounded individuals.
Shocking video footage obtained by CNN from inside the hospital showed rows of corpses lined up, some wrapped in blood-stained sheets.
A grieving father was seen cradling the body of his young son.
“He just wanted to eat, what could I do?” the father asked, overcome with emotion.
The exact location of the shooting remains unclear at the time of reporting.
However, eyewitness Hisham Dargam told reporters that the shooting took place roughly four kilometers from an aid distribution site managed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is an Israeli- and US-backed organization that has drawn both international praise and criticism for its operations in the war-torn enclave.
Dargam said, “Gunfire erupted from soldiers and tanks, as if they were in a battle with us.”
The attack has fueled new outrage across Gaza and the broader Arab world, with many calling it a deliberate massacre of starving civilians.
The Israeli military responded with a statement claiming that its forces had “identified suspects who approached them during operational activity in the Rafah area.”
They also claimed the incident took place at night, approximately one kilometer from the official aid distribution point, which, according to their statement, was not active at the time.
This is not the first time Israeli troops have been accused of using lethal force near aid convoys or food distribution zones in Gaza.
Humanitarian organizations have repeatedly warned that access to food and basic supplies is critically low, with many Gaza residents risking their lives daily in the hope of receiving aid.
Rights groups and international observers have demanded an immediate investigation into the shooting.
They are also calling for greater protection of humanitarian corridors and for Israeli forces to exercise restraint in civilian-populated areas.
Critics argue that the escalation of force against non-combatants seeking aid undermines all claims of self-defense and could constitute war crimes under international law.
Calls for a ceasefire have intensified in the wake of this latest tragedy, as Gaza’s humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate.
At the heart of the crisis lies the growing desperation of the people, many of whom are now dying not only from bombs but from hunger.
