Man kills ex-girl friend, injured 18 -year-old daughter in Borno

A tragic incident occurred in Dille District, Askira/Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, where a woman named Hauwa Azuba, 38, was killed and her 18-year-old daughter, Lami Azuba, was critically injured in a machete attack.
The attack, which happened on Saturday around 3:00 p.m., was allegedly carried out by Abubakar Ijidai, a local resident who targeted his ex-girlfriend and her mother while they worked on their farm.
Abubakar Ijidai ambushed Hauwa Azuba and her daughter, Lami, with a machete, leaving them in pools of blood.
Hauwa Azuba was pronounced dead on arrival at the General Hospital in Lassa, while Lami Azuba was transferred to the General Hospital in Mubi, Adamawa State, for urgent medical treatment due to the severity of her injuries.
The attack is believed to be linked to a romantic relationship issue between Abubakar Ijidai and Lami Azuba
Residents of Dille District have strongly condemned the attack and are calling for swift justice.
The Borno State Police Command has launched a manhunt for Abubakar Ijidai and assured the public that efforts are ongoing to apprehend him and bring him to justice.
Police officers from the Lassa Police Outpost responded quickly, evacuating the victims to the hospital and initiating an investigation into the incident.
