The war of words between Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen. Dino Melaye and Senator Oluremi Tinubu,
who represents Lagos Central Senatorial District, took another dimension on Tuesday, as some women under the aegis of Kogi Women Support Dino, KWSD, threw their weight behind Melaye, saying Senator Tinubu must apologise to him for purportedly calling him a thug and dog.
This came as women rights group, Women Advocates Research & Documentation Centre, WARDC, had weekend asked Melaye to apologise to Tinubu or risk “Occupy National Assembly” by well-meaning Nigerians.
Also, yesterday, some women drawn from the three senatorial districts in Lagos State. under the aegis of Concerned Group, urged the Federal Government to direct relevant security agencies to institute criminal action against Melaye should he fail to tender public apology to Tinubu, for purportedly threatening to beat her up, as well as impregnate her.
