Vice President Shettima Embarks on World Economic Forum Mission in Davos, Switzerland

Senator Kashim Shettima, the Vice President, has left Abuja for the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu initiated the trip, aiming to engage in discussions on global socio-economic and development issues during the 2024 forum. Shettima will not only participate in plenary sessions but also unveil the Private Sector Action Plan for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA) in a special session co-chaired by him.

Additionally, the Vice President will conduct high-level discussions with key figures such as Makhtar Diop, the Managing Director of IFC, and Pham Minh Chinh, the Prime Minister of Vietnam. Shettima will chair a roundtable dialogue on Nigeria’s economic trajectory and attend a dedicated session on fostering trust in the global energy transition program. The week-long event will conclude with the Vice President’s return to Nigeria.
