This bikini model was ‘slut-shamed’

The owner of swimwear brand Aquadiva Swimwear has been accused of slut-shaming a young model who often represents the brand after the model said she wasn’t happy with a photo they had used.

19-year-old model Stevie Alger, from Queensland, was told by the brand that they would be using a photo of her in one of their bikinis at a pop-up shop on the Gold Coast.

However, after asking which photo was going to be used, Stevie admitted to the company that she didn’t like the photo because she felt ‘self-conscious’ about the way she looked in it.

Despite telling Stevie that she looked gorgeous in the photo, the owner, Allison Appleby, went on to become defensive, asking her whether she disliked her brand.
