Abductors of Nasarawa Information Commissioner demands N100m ransom

Kidnappers of the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mohammed Yakubu Lawal, have demanded N100 million ransom for the release of their victim from their den, the family members have said.

According to Vanguard, it was gathered that the family of the victim had offered the sum of N3.5 million to the kidnappers, but the kidnappers insisted on the N100m, demanded for the governor’s contact which was not provided as such they switched off their phone.

It would be recalled that the Police had yesterday morning, confirmed the abduction of the commissioner in his residence at Nassarawa Evgon Local government of the state on Monday at about 9pm.

According to the victim’s younger brother, Mr Tanimu yakubu who spoke exclusively to vanguard Wednesday morning, said he was able to speak with one of the kidnappers through his elder brother’s ( the victim’s phone line ).

He also confirmed that even the wife of the Victim also spoke to her husband and the kidnappers were demanding for N100,000, 000 ransom to release their victim.
