Abia Election Tribunal Update: Monday, 19/10/2015
The Election Tribunal sitting in UMUAHIA this on Monday upheld the election victory of Rt Hon Cosmas Ndukwe, the Deputy Speaker Abia House of Assembly.
Hon Ndukwe vied and won under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP].
However, there will be a rerun in Item A, B and Item C wards.
The court dismissed the petition filed by the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] candidate for lack of merit.
The APGA and PPA petitioners had sought the tribunal to nullify the election and one of them declared winner but failed.
