Adamawa Bomb Blast: NEMA Records 56 Casualties

NEMA‬ recorded 56 casualties, including 9 dead and 24 people hospitalized in different hospitals on recent ‪bomb‬ blast at Gombi Local Government Area of the state.

The National Emergency Management Agency ‪[NEMA]‬ has recorded 56 casualties, with 9 dead and 24 people still hospitalized in different hospitals on the recent ‪bomb‬ blast at Gombi Local Government Area of the state.

The representative of NEMA camp coordinator Adamawa state, Alhaji Halilu Ahmed Kangiwa disclosed this during an ‪interview at the federal medical center FMC Yola.

Alh. Kangiwa made the disclosure shortly after receiving three victims that were referred from a private hospital in Gombi to the Federal Medical Center, Yola, and brought by NEMA Mobile Intensive Care Unit [‪‎MICU] ‬for further treatment.

He said the first victim that was brought to the hospital from the scene has also lost his life thereby increasing the number of dead to 10.

He pointing out that arrangement has been made by the agency to provide necessary assistance to the victims of the blast.

He described the incident as unfortunate and called on people to always be security conscious.

On his part the executive secretary of Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency [ADSEMA] Malam Haruna Hamman Furo also confirm the number of casualties and the dead recorded.

He also assured of state government commitment toward providing necessary assistant and response to the incident.
