Adamawa Medical Dr funds A Foundation To Meet The Health Needs Of The Less Privilege

A philanthropic organisation Know as Janna Health Foundation (JHF) founded by Adamawa State residence Doctor, Dr Stephen John an indigene of Michika LGA of the state to meet the needs of people with health challenges.

The non governmental organisation during the last Christmas celebration and in the spirit of love to humanity visited the people of Michika LGA and distributed free assorted food items, detergents and treated insecticides Mosquitoes nets to widow and less privilege in Michika worth millions of Naira.

Speaking during the presentation in Michika, founder and financier, Dr Stephen John said that the program is a rebirth of his conceived idea of 2012 ,with the aim of taken care of the health needs of the less privilege in the society especially widows who lost their husband as a result of insurgents attacks.

John further stated that the Janna health foundation has a cardinal mission of fighting the scourge of HIV/AIDS by given voluntarily health tips, medication to HIV/AIDS patients, carries out Tuberculosis (TB) test and counselling.

“Being a philanthropic organisation the other mandate of the foundation is to make sure children of school age roaming the streets are properly enrol and given all the needed support to be school children, providing them with uniforms,learning materials and off setting all the fees in their respective schools.” John Said

The recent visit to the people of Michika, where over one hundreds people benefitted from his philanthropic gesture, the Gombe programme manager of HIV/AIDS who grace the occasion as one of the special guest,Dr. Suraj Abdulkarim challenged with Dr Stephen’s ingenuity, foresight and humanitarian gesture told the beneficiaries and all well meaning Nigerians emulate the character of the founder.

Stephen in his earlier submission poured out his heart of gratitude to Gombe State Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Ishaya Kenedy and the Program Manager, Gombe State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (GomSACA), Dr. Suraj Abdulkarim who were on an official visit to see the impact of JHF is making in combating TB and HIV in our society.

” We remain grateful to the Adamawa State Governor, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrila Bindow, the state’s Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Fatima Abubakar, the Executive Chairman, Adamawa PHCDA, Dr. Abdullahi Belel and his Board Members for the enduring support to JHF.

“We remain grateful to the Mubi North and South LGTBLS and their counterparts in Yola North, South and Fufore LGAs for overseeing and directing our team of Community Volunteers as the cope with the thousands of IDPs flowing into our dear State.

“We remain committed towards improving the Health Outcomes of our IDPs,dwelling on Our vision of Zero HIV transmission in our societies and to End TB in our lifetime! Together, we can achieve this. Yes We Can!”. He added 

Appreciating the gesture, one of the beneficiaries, Madam Esther Akawu thank the founder for the assistance and prayed for God’s blessings to envelop his struggles.
