Adamawa state is the poorest state in West Africa – Speaker

The Hon. Speaker of Adamawa state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa, has today complained on the level of infrastructure stagnant in the state rating it to be the most backward state in the whole of West Africa.

According to him the state have suffered this due to inconsistence in Government policies and the issue of Governance have being a mere reality, as the state has witness seven different swearing-in of Governors in the past seven years.

Kabiru said this in his office in Yola when members of the correspondents’ chapel took him on issues concerning the summons they gave to the commissioner of finance, Mamud Sali to appear before the House plenary to explain how the state government disbursed bailout funds procured.

He further said that the commissioner has tendered a report on the issue of bailout which were going to go through it, and anything that they are not satisfied, he must clearly explain to the people of Adamawa state.

He responded to other questions on their relationship with the executive to be cordial and smooth, even though he distance himself to have any attach and personal close ties with the Governor.
