ADC Chairmen unite, dismiss split rumors, back coalition

The Forum of African Democratic Congress (ADC) State Chairmen has strongly endorsed the coalition movement to challenge the ruling APC in 2027. Meanwhile, they dismissed claims of internal divisions, reaffirming their commitment to a united front.

Recently, media reports alleged a leadership crisis between ADC’s National Chairman, Dr. Ralphs Okey Nwosu, and Kogi State Chairman Kingsley Ogga. Additionally, rumors suggested a faction sought legal action to block merger talks and petitioned INEC against Nwosu’s group.

ADC has settled internal disputes through mediation, with courts closing all related cases, Kingsley Ogga confirmed. The party now stands united ahead of 2027 elections.

Ogga dismissed recent division reports as outdated, revealing conflicts were resolved months ago. ADC’s focus has shifted to building a strong opposition coalition.

With unity restored, the party is preparing to offer Nigerians a credible alternative based on transparency and reform.

During an interview, Ogga appeared alongside key ADC leaders, including FCT’s Clement Ehigiator and Edo’s Kennedy Odion. He revealed instructing his lawyer in February 2025 to withdraw the lawsuit against the party.

A February 11, 2025 letter titled “Withdrawal of Lawsuit Against ADC” confirmed the legal discontinuation. Ogga cited the party’s conflict resolution process and INEC’s ADR involvement as reasons.

“Since all issues are resolved, litigation is unnecessary,” the letter stated. The court formally struck out the case on February 12, 2025, cementing ADC’s unity.

This resolution allows the party to focus fully on strengthening its coalition efforts for 2027.

Ogga reiterated ADC’s strength and coalition commitment, saying, “We offer Nigerians a credible alternative.” Consequently, the Chairmen’s Forum signals readiness to shape Nigeria’s political future ahead of 2027.
