ADC Leaders Blast APC, Declare Total Loyalty To Engr. Austin Okolie

(DDM) – The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Warri South West Local Government Area has issued a strong public declaration reaffirming total loyalty and unwavering support to the Delta State Chairman of the party, Engr. Austin Okolie.

The declaration was made by the LGA Chairman, Hon. Bestman Tulu, who spoke on behalf of party leaders, executives, newly inaugurated ward chairmen, and grassroots members across the council area.

According to Tulu, the statement was necessary to restate the commitment of Warri South West ADC to the state leadership amid growing political realignments in Delta State.

He described Engr. Okolie as the “legitimate and dogged” leader of ADC whose proven leadership capacity has raised the hopes of members and inspired confidence across party structures.

“You have shown us in several instances your ability to improve the party beyond our expectations,” Tulu said.

“With you, we do not doubt our capacity to unseat the current leadership of the APC from the national, state, and LGA levels,” he added.

The declaration further emphasized that the Warri South West chapter is not only standing solidly behind Okolie but is also standing beside him “24/7” in the quest to strengthen ADC as a credible alternative force in Delta politics.

DDM gathered that this declaration comes at a time when opposition parties across Nigeria are seeking fresh platforms to challenge the dominance of both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Political analysts say ADC, though relatively smaller, has steadily built structures in Delta State under Okolie’s leadership.

Observers also note that the Warri South West axis remains a politically strategic region given its size, population, and oil-rich communities.

The show of loyalty by ADC leaders there signals that the party may be consolidating its grassroots strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Tulu stressed that the leadership style of Engr. Okolie has united members across divides, created renewed optimism, and instilled confidence in the party’s internal structures.

“Engr. Chairman, we are not just behind you but beside you every step of the way,” Tulu declared.

The statement was formally signed by Hon. Bestman Tulu, Chairman of ADC Warri South West, and Comrade Elias Otutu, Secretary of the chapter.

Political observers told DDM that ADC in Delta State has in recent years struggled to make an impact at the state assembly and governorship levels but has gradually gained visibility under Okolie’s administration.

The leadership’s focus on youth mobilization, grassroots empowerment, and community engagement is seen as a key factor in its revival.

Supporters say the party’s goal of dislodging APC control at various levels is ambitious but achievable with unity, consistent messaging, and wider coalitions.

The Warri South West declaration is now viewed as a rallying call to other local government chapters across Delta to stand firmly with the state leadership.

In the words of a senior party leader: “ADC is no longer a weak, divided platform. With Engr. Okolie, the party is speaking with one voice and projecting real strength.”

The declaration also reflects a wider complaint among ADC members who believe that both APC and PDP have failed Nigerians, creating space for alternative parties to gain traction.

Many within ADC argue that the party’s ideology of inclusivity, transparency, and people-driven governance can resonate strongly with voters frustrated by the failures of the major parties.

With the 2027 general elections fast approaching, analysts predict that ADC’s ability to maintain unity, expand structures, and capitalize on public discontent could determine whether the party finally breaks into mainstream relevance in Delta State and beyond.

For now, the message from Warri South West is clear: ADC leaders have chosen to close ranks, back their state chairman, and prepare for what they describe as a political battle to reclaim power from entrenched structures.
