The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has suspended its National Vice Chairman for the South-South region, Dr. Usani Usani, effective immediately, due to alleged actions undermining the party’s unity, discipline, and progress.
The suspension follows a State Working Committee (SWC) meeting held on October 15, 2025, where multiple petitions accusing Usani of anti-party activities and insubordination were reviewed.
The SWC found Usani’s conduct to be in violation of the ADC constitution and inconsistent with the party’s core values, citing anti-party activities and insubordination to party leadership.
The suspension will remain in effect pending the outcome of a formal investigation by the relevant party organs.
The committee also expressed dissatisfaction with the appointment of Ms. Jackie Wayas as Deputy National Publicity Secretary, citing lack of consultation with the Cross River leadership.
They urged the National Leadership to review her appointment and consider replacing her with a competent individual from Cross River State.
The party directed all coalition leaders and intending members to complete their registration at ward levels within seven days, ending October 25, 2025, to avoid exclusion from leadership roles.
The Cross River ADC reaffirmed its loyalty to the national leadership and pledged to provide credible leadership and a people-centered alternative for the state and South-South region.
