Adeleke refutes claims of attacking Tinubu, commends his democratic leadership

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has refuted claims that he made negative remarks about President Bola Tinubu regarding the ongoing local government elections.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM) Adeleke described the reports as misleading and urged the public to disregard them.

Speaking after casting his vote on Saturday, Adeleke reaffirmed his respect for Tinubu’s role in the democratic process.

Adeleke commended Tinubu for ensuring that the rule of law was upheld, making the local government elections possible.

He emphasized that the President’s commitment to democracy has strengthened governance at all levels.

In a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke reiterated his confidence in Tinubu’s democratic principles.

Adeleke stated, “Let me affirm that I know Mr. President to be a true democrat, a lover of rule of law, and a believer in the sanctity of the judicial process.”

He further stressed that Tinubu would never authorize unconstitutional actions or undermine democratic institutions.

According to Adeleke, Tinubu remains committed to respecting the constitution regardless of political affiliations.

“In my second broadcast, I said this about Mr. President: ‘We have confidence in the democratic credentials of President Tinubu, who we know will always insist on the rule of law,’” Adeleke recalled.
