Agbaso Files Notice For Stay Of Execution Injunction, Remains APGA Chairman

Despite recent judgment that invalidated APGA chairmanship of Martin Agbaso, he remains on seat owing to notice for stay of injunction & execution

Despite the recent Appeal Court judgment that invalidated the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] chairmanship of Ochudo Martin Agbaso, the latter remains the National Chairman of APGA.

This is owing to the notice for stay of injunction and execution filed by Chief Martin Agbaso at the Supreme Court today restraining Ozo Victor Oye from acting as APGA National Chairman.

The relief also restrains the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] from working in tandem with Victor Oye which will be tantamount to subjudice.

Consequent upon this development, the status quo rendered by Appeal Court which made Martin Agbaso the national chairman of APGA remains.

The appeal haven been filed at the Supreme Court, it renders the judgement purchased by Victor Oye and his cohort, the Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano, from Appeal Court, void .

Under the present circumstances, if and when Agbaso camp holds Primaries on Monday, whoever emerges the candidate grabs the legal APGA ticket for the forthcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election taking place on November 18.
