A’Ibom NDDC Rep Hails Captain Mbong’s Election As Afigh Iwaad Ekid President

The Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State on the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono, has formally congratulated Captain Willie Mbong on his election as the new International President of the premier socio-cultural organization, Afigh Iwaad Ekid.

In an interactive session with journalists on Tuesday, the Commissioner described Captain Mbong’s election as a “profound affirmation of the trust and confidence reposed in him by the vibrant and dynamic youth of the Ekid nation.”

He said, Afigh Iwaad Ekid which “serves as the vanguard of Ekid identity, progress, and empowerment” has reposed trust in a man of impeccable character.

Expressing confidence in the new president’s capacity to lead, the Commissioner pointed to Mbong’s “distinguished career, marked by discipline and leadership,” as the ideal preparation for steering the influential youth body.

“This new role places him at the forefront of advocacy, youth development, and community peace-building,” he added.

The NDDC Rep pledged to collaborate with the association for the collective good of Ekid and Akwa Ibom State.
“As an Ekid son, I look forward to partnering with him and his executive to harness the potential of our youth and address the developmental needs of our communities for the collective good of Akwa Ibom State and the Niger Delta region.”
