Air Ambulance Carrying Seven Crashes in India

A chartered air ambulance carrying seven people has crashed in eastern India, aviation authorities confirmed.

The aircraft, a Beechcraft C90, went down in the Kasaria area of Jharkhand while conducting a medical evacuation flight, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Flight Details and Emergency Response
The plane, operated by Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, departed from Ranchi and was heading to Delhi with a patient and medical team onboard.

Authorities said the crew requested a route change due to adverse weather conditions.

Radar contact was lost about 23 minutes after takeoff.

The aircraft later crashed in a forested area.

Emergency responders were dispatched immediately to the crash site.

Investigators from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau are heading to the scene to determine the cause of the crash.

The condition of the seven people onboard, including two crew members, was not immediately confirmed.

The crash comes weeks after another fatal accident in Maharashtra, where a chartered aircraft went down during landing, killing a state official and four others.

Authorities say further details will be released as rescue and investigation efforts continue.
