Akpabio: Niger Delta Frontiers knocks Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan

The Niger Delta Frontiers (NDF), a prominent socio-political group, has issued a strongly-worded press statement condemning Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi State for what it describes as a “campaign of calumny” against the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
The group accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of peddling unfounded allegations, including claims of sexual harassment, in what it termed a desperate attempt to tarnish Akpabio’s reputation and sway public opinion.
In the statement titled “When Crying Wolf Becomes a Career,” the NDF labeled Akpoti-Uduaghan as a “manipulative figure and serial character assassin” who has resorted to sensationalism and blackmail to further her political agenda.
The group stated, “Her baseless claim of sexual harassment is a disguised attempt at swaying public opinion to favour her frequent abuse of the Standing Rules of the Hallowed Chambers of the Senate.”
The NDF dismissed Akpoti-Uduaghan’s recent remarks at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting in Geneva as “nothing but ramblings of a serial blackmailer who has always failed to nail any of her targets.”
The group emphasized that Akpabio’s leadership as Senate President has been marked by integrity, vision, and a commitment to Nigeria’s progress, adding, “Natasha’s attempts to tarnish his reputation are therefore as futile as a mosquito trying to bring down an elephant—utterly pointless and mildly irritating.”
The statement also took aim at former Senate President Bukola Saraki, who has reportedly called for Akpabio’s resignation.
The NDF described Saraki as a disgraced politician whose career is marred by scandal, including allegations of embezzlement, involvement in the 2018 Offa robbery, and multiple indictments for false asset declaration. The group stated, “Saraki’s moral high ground is so low—it’s practically underground.
Characters like Bukola Saraki, evidently indicted in the Offa massacre which claimed the lives of over 33 police officers and civilians, are lucky not to be condemned prisoners.”
The NDF further referenced a 2025 lawsuit filed by families of the Offa robbery victims, seeking N2.1 billion in compensation from Saraki, whom they accuse of sponsoring the robbery. The group declared, “Saraki has rivers of blood on his hands.”
The NDF warned Akpoti-Uduaghan to prepare for legal consequences, stating, “When you are done traveling to the IPU, when you are done jumping from one television station to another, when you are done creating content on social media, when you are done running around in circles, you will have to face the legal consequences of your misdeeds.”
The group revealed that it has consulted its legal team and plans to initiate litigation against the embattled senator, adding, “Attempts to send highly-placed emissaries to plead for an amicable settlement on her behalf, like she did when former Presidential Adviser Reno Omokri deflated her balloon of lies, shall be rebuffed.”
The statement concluded with a call for Nigerians to see through Akpoti-Uduaghan’s “lies” and reject what it described as the “toxic brand of politics” championed by her and her allies.
The NDF reaffirmed its support for Akpabio, describing him as a “leader of repute” whose legacy of service and achievement remains unassailable.
The press statement was signed by Hon. Preye A. Datonye, National Coordinator, and Comrade Emmanuel Udoh, National Secretary of the Niger Delta Frontiers.
