Akwa Ibom family heads pay tribute to Sir Sylvester Udoma

Tributes have continued to pour in for the departed Chief (Sir) Sylvester Udoma.

The latest of these have come from the Chamber of Family Heads Forum, Akwa Ibom State, as well as the Forum’s chapter in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, and Ekpuk Village Council.

The groups in their tributes to the Late Sir Udoma, described him as ‘an icon and a man of deep integrity’, whose ‘loss is irreplaceable’.

Sir S.C. Udoma, fondly known as ‘Titia Udoma’, passed on recently at the age of 93.

He was a renowned educator, community leader and a Knight of the Roman Catholic Church.

He was the Obom Mbong Ekpuk and Chairman of Family Heads Forum in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.

In a tribute to the Late Sir S.C. Udoma, Forum of Family Heads, Akwa Ibom State, in a message signed by its President, Akwa Obom Idongesit Akpan and Secretary, Obom Michael Miangkere, said the late Sir Udoma has left behind, ‘bountiful legacies of honesty, humility, integrity and indefatigability’.

The Forum said Chief S.C. Udoma will be remembered as a man of great wisdom and courage, praying comfort for the deceased family.

On their part, the Mkpat Enin Local Government Area Chapter of the Forum, in a message during their visit to the deceased family, signed by its Coordinator, Obong Boniface Ekwere, extolled the Late Sir Udoma, saying ‘Our Obom, your husband and father finished strongly, with lasting legacies on the sands of time’.

The Village Head of Ekpuk, in Ikpa Ikono Clan, Eteidung Sunday Ekanem, while reacting to the news of Sir Udoma’s demise, said that the village has lost an icon, who contributed immensely to the development of the community

The burial of Sir Udoma is slated to hold later next.
