Akwa Ibom people urged to embrace ADF for state’s progress
Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono, the Coordinator of the Akwa Ibom Democratic Forum (ADF) in Eket Senatorial District, has made a passionate appeal to Akwa Ibom people to identify with the forum, emphasizing its crucial role in galvanizing and harnessing the welfare and interests of the state.
Speaking over the weekend in Ikot Abasi, Mkpat Enin, and Eastern Obolo Local Government Areas, Apostle Nkono highlighted the numerous benefits that Akwa Ibom has derived from the ADF, which is political group embedded in the All Progressives Congress (APC). He cited the various projects, political appointments and jobs that have been secured through the ADF’s efforts.

“The ADF has been instrumental in bringing numerous dividends to our state. We have projects, appointments and jobs, all thanks to the ADF’s tireless efforts. We urge all Akwa Ibom people to identify with us and work together to achieve our objectives, which align with the interests of our state,” he stated.
Apostle Nkono emphasized that the ADF is committed to promoting the welfare of Akwa Ibom people, and that its membership is open to all individuals who share its vision and values.
Counseling members of the three chapters’ executives, Nkono, who is also the political leader of the APC in Eket Local Government Area, implored them to remain loyal to the forum, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, APC and President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
He saluted their sacrifices for the forum.
Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, the State Chairman of APC, also addressed the gatherings, emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation among party members.
He commended the ADF for its efforts in promoting the APC’s ideals and values, and urged Akwa Ibom people to rally behind the party to achieve greater success.

Prof. Anthony Usoro, the Administrative Secretary of the ADF, also spoke, providing insights into the group’s plans and strategies for promoting the welfare of Akwa Ibom people.
The event was well-attended by APC Chapter Chairmen of the respective LGAs, ADF chapter coordinators, and party faithful.
Hon. Genesis Ufot, Maxwell Thompson and Mkpoikana Ikwot were inaugurated as Ikot Abasi chapter coordinator, deputy coordinator and secretary, respectively.
Mkpat Enin chapter has Nsikan Jombo Okon, Elijah Udobia and Etini Ntukekpo as coordinator, deputy coordinator and secretary.
Eastern Obolo chapter has Blessing Douglas as coordinator, Isotuk K. Awajiogak as deputy coordinator and Friday Cornelius as secretary.
Other executive positions were also filled.
