Alhaji Dantata laid to rest in Saudi Arabia

Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a renowned Nigerian business mogul and philanthropist, was laid to rest in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, on July 2, 2025.

He passed away on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, at the age of 94.

A solemn funeral prayer was held at the Prophet’s Mosque after the Asr prayer.

Dantata was buried at the historic Baqi Cemetery in Madinah.

Members of the Nigerian delegation, dignitaries, and well-wishers from the global Muslim community paid their respects.

Mourners offered prayers for Dantata’s soul and sought Allah’s mercy.

Dantata was respected for his contributions to Nigerian commerce and humanitarian work.

His death was widely mourned across Nigeria and the Muslim world, reflecting his esteemed reputation.
