Yoruba and Hausa Communities in and around Onitsha took their stand with the Anambra State African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Mr. John Chuma Nwosu (JCN), ahead of the November 8, 2025, governorship election.
The momentum of the ADC governorship campaign gained greater steam weekend as Mr. Nwosu stormed Onitsha South Local Government Area with his vibrant entourage.
Nwosu took the message of liberation and good governance directly to the people.
The visit saw JCN engaging warmly with the Yoruba and Hausa communities, alongside enthusiastic supporters from Ward 4, Fegge.
The event radiated unity, colour, and optimism as leaders of the various groups pledged support for the African Democratic Congress and its visionary candidate.

In his remarks, Alhaji Iliasu Yushau (Seriki Hausa of Onitsha) expressed gratitude for the visit.
The Seriki Hausa of Onitsha described JCN as “a man of vision and integrity whose humility and sincerity of purpose stand him out as a true leader.”
JCN, in his address, reiterated his clear vision for a prosperous, secure, and inclusive Anambra State, urging everyone to vote wisely for a credible candidate under the banner of the ADC.
Barrister Vincent Okafor (Onitsha South ADC Chairman), the Ward Chairman, and numerous ADC faithfuls graced the occasion — turning it into a rally of unity across ethnic and political lines.
The successful outing reaffirmed the growing popularity of ADC and the people’s confidence in JCN’s message of hope and change. See pictures.

John Nwosu’s Social Welfare Vision Resonates at Catholic Widows Convention
In another development, the 2025 Catholic Women Widows Convention held at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha, came alive with hope and inspiration as Professor Zelinjo N. Igweze, Director of Women Affairs, JCN Campaign Organization, ably represented Mr. Nwosu on the occasion.
Addressing the widows and participants, Prof. Igweze spoke passionately about JCN’s Social Welfare Scheme — a comprehensive plan aimed at supporting widows, the elderly, and the less privileged.
She further explained JCN’s Hi-Tech Security Architecture proposal for Anambra State, which drew strong applause and endorsement from the audience.
She appealed to the women to vote for JCN and the ADC, emphasizing that their support would help bring about a compassionate, secure, and people-driven government.
“If you haven’t joined this movement yet, now is the time to get involved!
“Stand with JCN to rebuild Anambra and give every citizen a fair chance at a better life,” Igweze said.
