Anambra APC Guber Aspirants Mull Dumping Party Over N10m Levy
Unofficial sources has disclosed to Elombah.com that some concerned aspirants in the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election under the auspices of the All progressives Congress [APC] are gearing to dump the party.
Upon further inquiry, it was discovered that the aggrieved members want to dump the party over some inexplicable 10 million Naira levy imposed on them by the party over the weekend.
According to our source, the levy is toned to boost their structure at the grassroots level. In his words, this is APC fight loading.
Some governorship aspirants in the APC camp are Chike Obidigbo, Tony Nwoye, Senator Andy Ubah, Dr Chris Ngige, et al.
It is gathered that some of them are seriously in talks with some parties like Hope Party, United Progressives Party [UPP], etc.
In the meantime, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige is seriously putting finishing touches to his governorship ambition.
Our sources in the Ngige camp informed Elombah.com that the doctor turned politician is dusting up his running shoes ahead of the forthcoming Anambra State governorship race.
Ngige’s decision to run, however, is coming long after he had told his followers to count him out of the race for the 2017 governorship election in the state.
Senator Ngige said his work as a minister was challenging, hence, the coming governorship contest was not his concern.
He, however, assured party faithfuls that his party, the All Progressives Congress would take over the state come November.
The Anambra State governorship election comes up on November 18, 2017.
