Anambra 2021: Aguata APGA political heavyweights join Ifeanyi Ubah, YPP

The ambition of Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah for the Anambra State 2021 governorship got a huge boost on Monday as Aguata stakeholders throw their weight behind the Senator.

Two major political heavyweights from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Ifeanyi Eduogu (Ogbata oluo Umuchu) and Chief Sunday Ndubuisi Chukwuji (Chinechendo Ogbunka), joined the Young Progressives Party (YPP) fold.

The Distinguished Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, was yesterday, hosted by some key stakeholders in Aguata Local Government Area.

Aguata, it should be noted, is the stronghold of APGA governorship aspirant and former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

The Senator stopped first at the home of his political friend and ally, Chief Bonaventure Mokwe, and was received by several sons and daughters of Umuchu Community.

All in attendance expressed joy at the visit and endorsed him as the best man for the job of rescuing Anambra from the present socio-economic doldrums.

From the home of the political bulldozer of Umuchu, Chief Mokwe, the Senator and his entourage moved to the residence of Chief Ifeanyi Eduogu.

While speaking at the home of Chief Ifeanyi Eduogu, during the Senator’s visit, Chief Sunday Ndubuisi Chukwuji (Chinechendo Ogbunka), a well-known community leader in Ogbunka, Orumba South LG, said that time has come for a businessman that truly understands how the state is wired, to rule Anambra State.

Chief Chukwuji, a major APGA stakeholder in Ogbunka, emphatically stated that it takes men with deep spiritual eyes to read the present handwriting on the wall, especially with the shenanigans going on in the other major parties, to understand that God has ordained Senator Ubah as the next Governor of Anambra State.

He promised to take the gospel of the YPP to all the nooks and crannies of Ogbunka.

Elated by the giant strides of Senator Ubah at the senate and his lofty vision for Anambra State, Chief Eduogu, a well-known APGA financier and grassroots mobilizer Immediately threw his weight behind the candidature Of Senator Ubah, assuring him of his total support.

In his words: “I have no choice, my people are demanding that the time has come to vote for an individual with the requisite track record of performance as opposed to party.

“They are unequivocal in their demand that we back you.

“I watched with amusement earlier today where two of your brothers were struggling to resuscitate the dying governorship ambition of our son who unfortunately is not on the ground here in Aguata and what came to my mind was the biblical phrase about a man of God and his home town.

“As a major APGA stakeholder, I knew the force that you deployed here in the Aguata and the massive votes that were delivered to you.

“What then happens now that I have decided to also key in,” Chief Eduogu added.

Speaking further during the visit at his home, Eduogu opined that time has come for Ndi Anambra to elect their own governor without interference from political godfathers.

He added that Sen Ubah has all the necessary experience, expertise, vision and ideas that will raise the state to greater heights In all sectors of the state’s economy.

An elated Senator Ubah expressed his joy at the organic endorsements he has been receiving from the masses while his opponents are busy entering into political deals with godfathers for endorsement.

He reaffirmed his belief that the Nov. 6th polls will be a competition between political godfathers and Ndi Anambra and that just as witnessed in the bible, the David (Ndi Anambra) will surely come out triumphant at the end of the day.

The Senator who lamented the total collapse of our road infrastructure (as witnessed on his way coming to Aguata from Nnewi ) as well as other basic amenities in the state, insisted that if the recent rulers of the state have investments in the state, they would not have been this carefree with the resources of the State.

Concluding, the Senator promised his guests never to let them down and reaffirmed once again his earlier promise and firm resolve to conduct local government elections within his first six months in office.
