United Progressive Party (UPP) candidates for the Anambra State gubernatorial election coming up on November 18, 2017, are to pay N5.5 million.
This was disclosed in the party’s official documents issued on Monday at the National Secretariat located in Wuye District, Abuja.
The document which contained time-table for the upcoming election and expression of interest indicated the following:
1. Letter of Intent: Sale of Expression of Interest Form to Aspirants
Date: Thursday, 20th July – Friday, 28th July, 2017
Venue: UPP National Secretariat, Plot 826B, Finance Quarters, Off Anthony Ani Street, Near Police Station, Wuye, Abuja
2. Nomination Form: Sale of Nomination Form to Aspirants
Date: Monday, 24th July –Friday, 11th August, 2017
3. Screening of Aspirants:
Date: From Friday, 11th August to Saturday, 12thAugust, 2017
UPP primary election in Anambra:
Date: Saturday, 19th August, 2017
APPEAL ARISING FROM PRIMARY ELECTION:
Date: Monday, 21st August – Friday, 25thAugust, 2017
FEES:
1. Fee for Expression of Interest – N500,000.00
2. Fee for Nomination Form – N5,000,000.00
