While I don’t want a state of emergency to be declared in Anambra State, but if that is the only language that would trigger Governor Willie Obiano to act, then let us continue to trumpet it: STATE OF EMERGENCY!
There is insecurity in most states, but you see their governors striving to solve it.
In the case of Anambra State, we have a governor that behaves as if nothing is happening while the state is on fire.
Dr. Chike Akunyili was murdered in the evening, but Obiano and Soludo were only concerned about the campaigns, to the extent that Soludo led APGA campaign train to Bridge Head Market, Onitsha the next morning – not minding that Dora Akunyili, the late spouse of Dr. Chike Akunyili was an aunt to Soludo’s wife.
The other day too, there was a South East Security meeting in Enugu, but Gov. Obiano and Soludo chose to be in Anam, Anambra West LGA campaigning, instead of joining his brother-governors seek solutions to the growing insecurity in the state and region.
Has Gov. Obiano visited any of the families of those killed?
Has the Gov. ever been to a meeting of the Federal Executive Council to canvass special attention on Anambra security issues?
Has the Gov. been to Anambra South zone since this insecurity issue began?
The courage to lead at a time like this is lacking!
Some of us have been calling out the Gov. long before now!
Thank You Mr Malami for that State of Emergency jolt, because the Gov. Obiano I know is REACTIVE by nature and so he is bound to start acting as Gov. henceforth.
If you notice, he is already funding Media appearance of his Commissioner for Information and some others.
Let’s keep Shouting STATE of EMERGENCY since that is the only language that will make Obiano to ‘megherie aru’.
